This is going to be a hodgepodge to catch up on what’s been going on around here.
We had a party at the neighbors, we canoed on Goldwater Lake, we’re attracting birds to the feeders, and we canoed on Willow Lake.
Mary and Larry came to visit. We had fun playing games and we went to Montezuma’s Well and to Jerome.
Tracy came and we took a road trip out Williamson Valley to Camp Wood. Tracy and I hiked at Thumb Butte. And then Kelle joined us before she and Tracy headed back to the Midwest.
We had fun at Rick and Carol’s, saw sunsets, ate pie, worked in the garden … all the things that make life worth living.
We saw Wes Williams at Barnstar, hit a deer and nursed it (and the car) back to life, went to Party in the Pines, and attended a blues jam.
Phil, Jan, and Oti came for a visit
[Then we went to Colorado, the subject of the previous blog post]
And we watched as an occasional quail evolved into two quail families that continue to amuse us daily.
We saw more music, at Taj Mahal, at the Bluegrass Fest, at Mark’s Beergarden, at the Blues Fest at Watson Lake, at Rickety Cricket, and at the rodeo Street Dance.
We got active – at Pride and at the Families Belong Together march.
In July so far,
Ted and I hiked on the Centennial Trail.
We had a nice evening at Rob and Gayle’s, got our kicks on Route 66 in Seligman, and had some back yard visitors.
Now Ted is in California at his 33rd annual golf tournament and I am home watching the long-awaited rain fall — and watching the garden soak it up.
