Two Weeks – Two Months – Sixteen Months

When we started this blog, we wanted to tell the story of our adventures full-time RVing, including our transition from our old lives (in a house with jobs) to the new (following our whims on the road).  Now we have a new transition to share with you.  We’ve bought a house in Prescott, AZ!

We weren’t really ready to stop fulltime RVing, but we really love Prescott and then we found this house and, well, everything just fell into place.

These are some of the photos from the real estate listing.  The lot was as appealing as the house.

So what of our RVing?  We have a trip or two planned in May and then we expect we will replace the big rig with a smaller motor home so we can continue to explore.  But we’ll be doing it in smaller chunks.  There are so many great places within a day or two drive!

In fact, Prescott is nicely located within a couple of hours of Sedona, Flagstaff, Phoenix, the Grand Canyon and a bit further to Palm Springs, Santa Fe, Las Vegas, and Southern Utah.  If any of those places are in your travel plans, please add a stop to visit us in Prescott.

We’ve had so much fun exploring the US and visiting so many friends and relatives.  We’ve had a lot of adventures and love the life.  It was a difficult decision to make, but we feel good about our new home and we are determined to keep the nomadic spirit alive.

We’ve cleared all the preliminary home-buying hurdles and are now just waiting to close on May 5th.  So what to do in the meantime?  We’re hitting the road for a couple of weeks!

  1. Wow. Excellent choice… Prescott always felt like a cool town in a woodsy and western kinda way. High enough altitude, also, to rise above unfortunate events tumbling out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Lucky you folks!

  2. Wow, congrats! I suspected you were heading in that direction, given the family connection and how much you enjoyed Prescott. Can’t wait to visit. 🙂 Wonderful, you two!!
