We managed to escape without buying cowboy boots (were we the only ones?), but we still kicked up our heels Nashville-style.
After driving from Atlanta, we were happy to arrive at the Two Rivers RV Resort. This is a scene from the road en route from Atlanta to Tennessee.
We went to Broadway to wander around and found a great brew pub with a band. We were to find several of these while in Nashville.
The next day we went to the Johnny Cash Museum, which was pretty interesting and brought him to life in a number of ways.
Having heard mostly blues and rock in clubs, we figured we needed a dose of country music, so we jumped into it big time at the Grand Ole Opry.
We explored Nashville and really liked it. Here are some scenes from our touring around. The capitol from the carillons, downtown from the pedestrian bridge, Country Music Hall of Fame, Music City Center, a broadway bar, a view down broadway, the Ryman Auditorium, a timeout at a rooftop bar, and the Cumberland River.
On our last night there was live music at our campground so we stayed home and enjoyed the scene.
And then we were off again, through beautiful Tennessee and heading for North Carolina.
